Already several decades, Ford F150 pleases its fans with its characteristics. The official premiere of the first Ford F150 was held in the United States in 1975 and the model was complemented by new features and power characteristics almost every year.
1st generation: 1978-1979
In the sixth generation of Ford F-series pickups, Ford F150 was first produced in the United States from 1978 to 1979. This model was equipped with eight cylinders V-shaped engine. This version of Ford F150 became a better competitor with Chevrolet Blazer offering larger and more luxurious SUV.
2nd generation: 1980-1986
The second generation of Ford F150 received a number of changes in the form of the exterior body becoming larger in dimensions. This Ford F150 was available at the American market from 1980 till 1986. V-shaped 8 cylinder carburetor engine rated at between 110 and 240 HP. Load capacity of the model was 500 kg.
3rd generation: 1987-1991
The third generation of pickup Ford F150 was manufactured in the United States from 1987 onwards till 1991. The appearance of the model became more streamlined. In 1987, Ford Motor Company started offering fuel injection motors volume of 4.9, 5.8 and 7.5 liters. The new pickup was installed 5 cylinders carbureted engine.
4th generation: 1992-1996
Ford trucks of F150 series which were issued between 1992 and 1996 in the United Stated were superficially modernized. Changes effected to the platform as well as exterior appearance. The design of these models became similar to Ford Ranger and Explorer models. The company was first equipped with airbags and rear speakers.
5th generation: 1997-2004
The next generation of an American pickup Ford F150 was sold from 1997 to 2004. Since 2002, the model was also sold under the name of Lincoln Blackwood.
6th generation: 2004-2008
The following restyling of Ford F150 was introduced in 2004. The new model received a completely new platform and a four-door version has appeared in the lineup.
7th generation: 2009-2014
The seventh generation of Ford F150 appeared at the market between 2009 and 2014. The pickup was powered by six or eight cylinder engines volume of from 3.5 to 6.5 liters and power between 434 and 278 horsepower.
The latest generation of the popular pickup had an expressive appearance and easy forms in spite of overall dimensions, reaching almost 6 meters in length (whole body). The front part of the new Ford F150 represents a massive structure that makes the pickup strong and powerful transport. The model can be driven even by the most impassable place. Multimedia systems had a possibility of listening MP3 through CD media player.
Ford F150 2015 retains previously available 3.5 liters engine and in addition, two other power units were added: the first was an atmospheric V-shaped six cylinder engine volume of 3.5 liters and the second became turbo EcoBoost volume of 2.7 liters making its power capacity of 325 HP and torque of 507 Nm. Fuel consumption of Ford F150 2015 per 100 km were approximately 10.9 liters and the fuel tank was equal to 140 liters. This version of the car was equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission that works in Sports mode, as each function is controlled by a computer. As a result, a new generation of Ford F150 has become faster, safer, and more efficient than ever before.
A number of modifications of an American version of Ford F150 offered halogen lamps that have more high-quality color rendition. They are distinguished by a high degree of brightness from the directional flow of light. In addition, they have high luminous efficiency and long life of working service.
