Ford Econoline was presented in the fall of 1960 as a 1961 model year. Since then, the company released over 6 million minivans, which were sold primarily in the North America. In 1960s, large-scale production of rear-wheel drive vans of Ford E-series became popular in the United States, these full-size vans were already approaching the level of comfort in the cabin and equipped with driver's seat simular to passenger cars.
Over time, despite numerous modernizations, Ford Econoline looked very utilitarian. Therefore, in 1992, the model was appeared in the automobile market with comfortable 7, 8, 12 and 15-seats of all-metal vans as well as four-door vans with a body mounted on a massive spar frame with independent front and traditional rear suspensions.
Wide spacious interior with light trim allows passengers to move freely inside. Spacious Luggage compartment adds positive emotions to the owner.
Ford Econoline models were equipped with automatic 4-speed transmission, manual 5-speed manual gearbox was installed only under the order, although in the mid 1980s diesel engines were included in the standard.
