Peugeot 308 - the front-wheel car of S-class. The debut of Peugeot 308 took place on June 5, 2007, at the Motor show in Frankfurt. Since September 2007, serial assembly began in France. Mass production of Peugeot 308 is arranged in France, China, Argentina, Indonesia, and Russia. Peugeot 308 was exhausted on replacement of the 307th series from which 308th generation inherited configurations and platform itself. Gerard Welter - the chief designer of Peugeot cars of the last decades worked on the design of model 308. Peugeot 308 initially was issued in bodies of three and five-door hatchback, but less than in a year after the beginning of sales, mass production started in a station wagon under the name of Peugeot 308 SW.

Peugeot 308 is offered in three complete sets: Comfort Pack, Premium, Premium Pack. They differ with exterior elements (trims, decorative radiator enclosure), finishing materials of the interior, engines, and gearboxes. Peugeot 308 is equipped with modern engines which were in common developed by alliance Peugeot Citroën and BMW Group. These are absolutely new power units which were not installed on the previous generations of the 300th series. Also, on Peugeot 308 model, the turbine motors created in cooperation with BMW were installed. The same motors are offered for MINI models.

Peugeot 308 possesses one of the best coefficients of aerodynamic resistance among S class cars – 0.29. Peugeot company is the first producer which exhausted the car in a body hatchback with such big panoramic roof. The most part of a roof is tinted, but, despite it, it provides the high level of illumination and visibility, protecting at the same time the driver and passengers from harmful sunlight.
