Jeep Cherokee —five-seat SUV (crossover) of the class C/D, rear or rear-drive with the connection of full control. The legendary Jeep Cherokee SUV was presented to the public in 1974, then became some opportunities of the car a standard of this class. Initially, two Jeep Cherokee versions – two and four doors descended from the conveyor. Practically at once, a number of versions of eight-cylinder V-engines, including various volumes have appeared. The first generation of this model was issued for 9 years. For this quite long period, nearly four hundred thousand cars were produced.
New 1984 became a sign for the second generation of Jeep Cherokee. This advanced version became very popular. The car became a leader in Russian market differing in the period of the ninetieth in special instability and at the same time insistence.
In 2001, at the Auto show in Detroit, the third generation of Jeep Cherokee SUV was presented under the KJ index which replaced outdated Jeep Cherokee XJ. However, this name was kept only for the European market, and in the USA, the model was called Jeep Liberty. The debut of the fourth generation of Jeep Cherokee took place in 2007 at the Motor Show in New York. In America, the car was known under the name of Jeep Liberty. Basic complete sets were two: Sport and Limited. Sport version is easily recognizable externally: The car has an unpainted bumper and wheel arch trim, and a brilliant Cherokee Sport patch on the front doors. At Limited, all exterior panels are painted in color of a body, interior skin, polished aluminum, and many devices increase internal comfort.
