Mazda 6

Mazda 6 is a passenger front-drive car whose motor is placed on the front which is issued in three body options: 4-door 5-seater sedan, 5-door 5-seater hatchback and 5-door 5-seater station wagon (all-wheel drive modification). Mazda 6 is manufactured at two plants in Japan (Hiroshima and Hoffa), the United States of America (Flat Rock, Michigan), Colombia (Bogota) and China (Changchun). Since spring 2013, new Mazda 6 is manufactured in Russia, as well at the Sollers plant in Vladivostok. In Japan Mazda 6 is known under the name of Mazda Atenza. The model is produced since 2002 till present and for this period, there were already three generations of Mazda 6.

Regarding its history, the first generation of Mazda 6 is designed on the general platform of Ford Mondeo. In the domestic Japanese market, the car was premiered in 2002, then European premiere was held later. Mazda 6 came to replace legendary Mazda Capella. And one year later, Mazda 6 was started being sold in 2003 in Russia.

The world premiere of the third generation of Mazda 6 was held at the Moscow International Motor Show in 2012 and was declared as 2014 model year. New Mazda 6 does not differ externally from Mazda Takeri concept car presented earlier. Moreover, cars were so similar that Japanese had to entitle the video announcement for the third generation "It is not Takeri!". A concept serial version is distinguished by front optics, little-changed radiator and door mirrors of a rear view.

All gasoline engines are equipped with the latest catalyst converter working at the level of "single nanoparticles". It provides excellent purification of the fulfilled gasses and has a long life cycle. At the same time, the majority of the precious metals commonly used in the construction of catalytic converters, reduced by more than 70 percent. The station wagon of Mazda 6 is offered with both front and all wheel drive.

The third generation of Mazda 6 differs from other similar models in comfortableness: the sedan is spacious both on front seats and rear. Mazda 6 is equipped with two-zone climate control with personal blowers for rear passengers. Nevertheless, in Mazda 6 there are no ashtrays. In addition, Mazda 6 differs with better inner trim materials and the body of the car became much stronger and more rigid.
