Lexus GX is a luxury Land Cruiser Prado version. Lexus GX –midsize all-wheel drive SUV which is issued by a luxury division of Toyota Motor company – Lexus - since 2002 till present. The first generation of Lexus GX with GX470 index was assembled from 2002 to 2009 at the plant in Japan. Thanks to the existence of the third row of seats, the interior could accommodate up to 8 people.

In 2009, the second generation of the Lexus GX was debuted at the Motor Show in the Chinese city of Guangzhou which was based on Land Cruiser Prado. The new model received GX460 index. Its sales began in 2010 and are carried out so far. For the Chinese market, less powerful version - GX400c powered by 6-cylinder 4-liter motor was presented later.
