The Bugatti company has constructed "the power measuring instrument" which shows how much power is being developed at any time by a 1000-horsepower auto engine. As a result it was succeeded to establish that 270 hp is enough for Veyron to develop a speed of 250 km / h. The remaining 731 hp is needed to reach a speed of 407 km / h.

Veyron can be ordered in several variants from the factory. In one of the options, the speedometer is encrusted with 1-carat diamonds. Each diamond has a hexagonal shape, which should symbolize a sixteen-cylinder engine.

To develop a maximum speed of 407 km / h on the Veyron is a rather complicated process, in which it is not enough just to find a sufficiently long section of the road. When the speed exceeds 375 km / h, you need to insert the second "Maximum speed" key in the additional lock next to the driver's seat. When turning the key, the clearance is reduced to 6.35 cm, the spoiler angle decreases to 2 degrees, the diffuser on the front grille closes and the steering angles are limited.
