Subaru Crosstrek became the best among budget crossovers
Specialists of Motor Trend compared crossovers including Subaru Crosstrek, Jeep Compass, and Nissan Rogue Sport. All budget crossover had absolutely different results. Cars were compared by a test drive during which were considered controllability, spaciousness of saloon, design and fuel consumption. The test was carried out in Mojave Desert, California.
For the third position, experts chose Nissan Rogue Sport, whose cabin is accomplished by luxury materials, also the crossover is designed with strong body materials. However, the back row of seats was not really convenient. Nissan Rogue Sport can accelerate to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds.
Jeep Compass which can accelerate in 9,4 seconds got the second place. The model is equipped with the 2.4-liter engine and 9-speed automatic transmission. The motor works hard and loudly. The disadvantages of Jeep Compass is safety as well as saloon comfort. The best results were shown by Subaru Crosstrek as it differs in speed and turning ability. The crossover needs only 9 seconds to speed up to 100 km/h. In addition, Subaru Crosstrek has spacious interior and low fuel usage.
