British auto company Lotus that releases sports cars will now be under control of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. We remind that the concern already belongs to Volvo. Holding company has taken 51% of shares of the enterprise. Other 49% belongs to Malaysian Etika Automotive.
The new board of directors of the enterprise will consist of three representatives of Geely and two Etika Automotive. Jean-Marc Jale is the head of the company, under which the company for the first time in 40 years began to make a profit.
Proton auto company was the owner of Lotus since 1996 and in 2012 both organizations have been acquired by DRB-Hicom corporation, the same year it became known that the new owner intends to sell Lotus company because of huge losses.
Soon after that, Dani Bahar who was director of the company has been dismissed for the waste of money and appointed Jean-Mark Jale for his place. During the guide of the new director, the company made a profit for the first time in 2016.
