The new CEO of the American auto giant company Jim Hackett intends to cut down expenses of the company by 14 billion dollars and refuse development of some models.

Till 2022, Ford is going to cut down expenses on materials by 10 billion dollars and engineering by 4 billion dollars but will increase financing for the start of models of the midsize Ranger pickup and Bronco SUV. Also, it is going to redistribute about 7 billion dollars which are intended for the development of passenger cars, SUVs, and trucks.

Jim Hackett told that the company is going to concentrate on the creation of crossovers, SUVs, trucks, electric vehicles and unmanned vehicles. We will remind that since Hackett undertook the management of the company in May of this year, he established cooperation with companies for development of electric vehicles in China and India, integrated with Lyft for development of robotic cars.
