Maserati levante charged version

Today the Italian company Maserati considers the possibility of creation of the most powerful modification of the Levante crossover which is going to be equipped with the engine from Maserati Quattroporte GTS.

According to unconfirmed information, in the engine compartment of "charged" version of Maserati Levante will be located 3.8-liter supercharged V8 unit, capable of generating 524 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque. With such engine borrowed from Quattroporte GTS, the crossover can accelerate from a place to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and reach a speed up to 290 km/h.

Currently, the fastest car in the line of the company is a model Levante S with 3.0-liter engine, giving out 430 "horses". From zero to "hundreds" model accelerates in 5.2 seconds, developing a maximum speed of 264 km/h. According to the general manager of Maserati, Giulio Pastore, a segment of "hot" crossover is not sufficiently developed, so before the release of more powerful updating of Levante the company needs to weigh everything.
